The systems are modular in construction and so can be
dismantled or relocated if required.
Standards
Sheerline ramp systems can help organisations work towards the duties set under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, which has been introduced to help prevent discrimination against disabled people.Sheerline ramp systems are designed to the following standards:
- Part M of the Building Regulations - to improve access for disabled people in new build and refurbishment projects.
- BS 8300 : 2001 Provides a guide for the design of buildings, to meet the needs of disabled people.
- BS 6399: Part 1 - weight load tested. Tests prove that a sheerline ramp or deck, built to manufacturer specifications, will sustain the static characteristic loads specified for domestic occupancy.
- UKSRG Issue 2 2000 - slip resistance tested by the Health and Safety Laboratory, for both ramps and decks.
- BS 476 Part 7 1997 Class 1 - surface Spread of Flame; when built to Sheerline's specifications.
